Our first ever CLUB GAMES is landing at a Virgin Active club near you on 16 August 2025. Are you ready?
Club Games 2025 is an individual fitness challenge made up of 8 epic movements, each with a 5-minute time cap to crush your reps or calories. After every round, you’ve got just 1 minute to reset and refocus before hitting the next movement. It’s intensity, strategy, and grit – all packed into one electric event.

What exactly is the Club Games?

Club Games 2025 is an individual fitness challenge made up of 8 movements. Each movement has a 5-minute time cap for you to complete the prescribed reps or calories. You’ll get a 1-minute transition break between each station. Finish all 8, and you’ve completed the Club Games!

When is it happening?

Saturday, 16 August 2025.

How does the event work?
  • 8 stations
  • 5 minutes per station
  • 1-minute rest between stations
  • Two 32-person heats per club (64 participants total)
  • Event duration: 47 minutes per heat
Will there be any prep or practice sessions?

Yes! CLUB GAMES SIM classes run every Saturday from 12 July to 9 August at participating clubs, during usual morning class times.

Is it a competition or just for fun?

Both! It’s designed to test your fitness, grit, and strategy – but it’s also about community and challenging yourself. Everyone who completes the event gets an exclusive medal and goodie bag, regardless of your finish time.

Do I need to be a Virgin Active member to join?

Nope! This event is open to both members and non-members. Bring your mates, training partners, or co-workers – all are welcome.

How much does it cost to enter?

It’s 100% free – but you must sign up in advance to secure your spot.

What are the categories?

Choose between:

 

  • Half Send – lighter weights, same challenge
  • Full Send – heavier weights for seasned athletes.

Pick the category that suits your current fitness level.

Do I need to be super fit to enter?

Not at all. The Club Games is for all levels – whether you’re new to functional training or looking to test your limits. Pick your category and bring your best effort.

What do I get for taking part?

All finishers walk away with a custom Club Games 2025 medal and a loaded goodie bag. Plus, bragging rights, of course.

How long will it take?

The full event runs just over 45 minutes (8 x 5-minute workouts + 1-minute rest between each). Get in, push hard, and earn every second.

How do I sign up?

Scan the QR code on Club Games posters in the gym or on digital displays to access the sign-up form. Ask at reception, ask your GRID/S&C coach – Spots are limited – first come, first serve.

How is it judged?

Volunteer judges will score based on total reps or calories achieved in each 5-minute station. Each participant is monitored by a judge or shared judge team.

Can I volunteer?

Yes – clubs need 13 volunteers per heat to assist with judging and logistics. Ask your club’s athletic lead for more info.
