Your questions answered

What is the Club vs Club Games?

It’s a head-to-head race between Virgin Active clubs. Each club enters a team of 20 athletes who’ll compete in pairs through a set workout. The fastest team to complete all stations wins bragging rights and the Interclub Games trophy.

Who can take part?

Any Virgin Active member can join — no pro-level fitness required. It’s all about teamwork, spirit, and pushing yourself alongside your clubmates

How are the teams structured?

  • Each club: 20 athletes → 10 pairs.
  • Pairs complete all stations together./li>
  • Once a pair finishes, the next team begins

What is the workout?

The race includes 7 stations:
1. Assault Bike – 40 calories per pair
2. Ground to Overhead – 20 synchronized reps
3. Synchro Lunges – 40 total
4. Kettlebell Swings – 40 synchronized reps
5. Dumbbell Thrusters – 40 synchronized reps
6. Row – 1 km per pair
7. Burpee Broad Jumps – 30 m total

What does “synchronized” mean?

Both partners must perform each rep together.
Judges will check for synchro standards on every movement.

How is the winner decided?

The clock starts when the first pair begins.
It stops when the final pair completes the race.
Fastest total time = winning club.

How long will it take?

Expect about 90 minutes start to finish, including warm-ups and briefings.

What should I bring?

Your usual gym gear, a towel, and your loudest cheer squad.

What if I don’t have a partner?

We’ll pair you up! Teamwork is what this challenge is all about.

What if one of us needs a break mid-station?

  • You can switch freely on cardio stations.
  • On synchro stations, pause and reset — reps only count when done together.

What do we win?

Bragging rights, glory, and maybe a few prizes. But mostly? The title of Best Virgin Active Club 2025.

Can spectators come?

Absolutely. The more noise, the better. Bring your crew and make it loud.

How do I enter?

Check if your club is competing and sign up at reception.
Spaces are limited to 20 participants (10 teams of 2) per club.
