- • New joiners (hereinafter referred to as “members”) taking up a Virgin Active membership will receive a discount of 50% on their monthly membership fee for December 2020, provided they meet the following qualifying criteria:
- o Joining on an adult 1 or 2 year membership between 1 and 15 October 2020 (both dates included); and
- o Training a minimum of 4 times on separate days in the 30 days after their date of joining.
- • Pro-rata membership fees will not be payable for October 2020.
- • The members’ first debit order will only be for fees in respect of November 2020.
- • Virgin Active will only debit 50% of the December 2020 fees for qualifying members.
- • The members’ November debit order must be successful on first attempt in order for them to qualify for the December reduction in fees.
- • If the member’s chosen debit order date is not the 1st of the month, then the debit order for the membership fees for November 2020 will run on the specified date in October 2020 as per the membership agreement.

EXISTING Virgin Active members referring a friend who joins from 1 to 31 October 2020, receive 50% of a month’s fees (per referral) on us:
- • EXISTING Virgin Active members who refer a friend that joins between 1 to 31 October 2020 (both dates included), receive 50% of their month’s fees for each friend referred who joins. There is no limit to the number of friends that the existing member can refer and therefore number of reduced month’s instalments they can receive is unlimited.
- • Existing members are defined as members who have an active membership approved and showing on the Virgin Active member base as at 31 September 2020.
- • The referred friend must join up on a 1- or 2-year Virgin Active adult membership, i.e. no U18s (excluding Youth 14-17 membership) and no Club-V joiners will count towards the existing member qualifying for 50% reduced fees.
- • Exclusions: This offer is not applicable to short term, 3-month, complimentary, Vitality Legacy Club, Virgin Active staff or tenant memberships.
- • This offer will only apply if the referring member’s Virgin Active account is in good standing and not in arrears.
- • This campaign is applicable to existing members who are members in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
- • The new member’s contract must not be subsequently cancelled or terminated within the residual cooling-off period or the initial commitment period stipulated in the membership contract, in order for the referring member to qualify for the discounted fees.
- • The existing member’s membership contract must not be terminated, cancelled or frozen, otherwise the benefit of this campaign will immediately fall away.
- • If the existing member has paid cash upfront for their membership, then the membership period will be extended by half a month.
- • This promotional offer cannot be exchanged for cash or some other rebate.
- • If the existing member is paying by means of monthly debit order, then the 50% reduction of fees per referral joined will be applied from December onwards (depending on when you join and your selected debit order date)
- • The new member will be asked to confirm at point of sale that they were referred by the existing member and asked to complete a referral confirmation to this effect.
- • Once a new member has joined, no subsequent claims of a referral will be honoured.
- • 50% fees on 1 month will only be credited to the existing member once the new member has confirmed the existing member’s details, and new member’s first debit order has gone off successfully.
- • All discounted instalments will be applied based on your October 2020 monthly instalment.
