The Virgin Active Steenberg gym caters to those living in the Steenberg, Lakeside, Muizenberg and Bergvliet areas and is conveniently located at the Westlake Business Park. It is a great family gym option due to the Learn to Swim offering and children’s gym (6 weeks to 13 years). An incredible training floor is decked out with all the strength, cardio and functional equipment you need, and the studios have been purpose-built for a variety of gym classes, including Yoga, Pilates and Boxing.

Virgin Active Constantia gym: Located in the Constantia Sports Complex, this Constantia gym buzzes from morning till night. Some of the most-loved facilities include the two heated swimming pools, Learn to Swim lessons, the children’s gym for kids from 6 weeks to 7 years old, the sauna and steam facilities, the squash court, cycle studio and expansive training floors.

A few kilometres away, at the MontClare Place shopping centre, you’ll find the Virgin Active Claremont gym. From parents taking their kids for swimming lessons and post-university training sessions to lunchtime quickies or early morning runs, this gym is another popular Southern Suburbs option. The class timetable is scheduled around the workday, making it easy to get to classes and the 5-lane 25-metre lap pool is a great way to spend a lunch break. There is plenty of seating around the Nü inside the club, so you can catch up on mails or get a nutritious meal in before heading back to the office.
