A Different Approach ...
I’m a little cigarette
You’ll smoke my life away
You’ll light me up and drag on me
Twenty times a day
I’m very bright and clever see
I’ll make you feel great
But you won’t even be able to taste the food you ate
I have this way to calm your nerves and make you feel alright
You’ll take my filter in your mouth and smoke all through the night
Come morning time you’ll have bad breathe
Your chest feels tight and sore
You take me out the cigarette box and light me up once more
Oh how great it feels to take my smoke right in
Deep down into your lungs, the ultimate great sin
The doctor says you shouldn’t smoke, but you say I don’t care
You wonder why it seems so hard to get up from your chair
You join the gym to get real fit, they ask you do you smoke
Yes you say, but giving up – that’s a real joke
You’ll smoke and exercise every day and hopefully feel better
Just run and jump and step and swim, sign the Indemnity letter
You climb upon the treadmill and take a little jog
And wonder why your mind is full of lots of fog
Your fingers tingle your chest is tight
Just keep on running, you’ll feel all right
It’s very hard to exercise when your lungs are full of grit
So just slow the treadmill down and walk a little bit
You take a shower to freshen up; you’re chest it is on fire
You start to sweat you don’t feel well, the doctor must be a liar
He told you if you exercised you’d start to feel right,
You know he said stop smoking, but a fag yes you must light
Your chest, your chest the pain is hell, you fall out of your car
You hear some sounds ringing out from somewhere afar
Your lungs they have given up
Your heart is weak and tired
Your body said that is enough your heart it is now wired
You will not now be able to carry on like before
And sadly oh how sadly you can’t smoke me anymore!

Smoking and Exercise
The great contradiction.
- Exercise expands lung capacity and increases energy - smoking decreases lung capacity and depletes energy.
- Lung cancer, emphasema, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, blocked sinuses, stained teeth - sounds great doesn’t it.
- We all know the facts and media is riddled with the facts, read them, absorb them, take them to heart and quit the filthy habit – for the sake of our children and ourselves.
Go on I dare you!
