Shape up for Summer - Part 1: Men
Nearly all of these exercises will have instructions on the machines at Virgin Active Clubs. If in doubt ask a Fitness Consultant for advice. I will simply highlight the pertinent points of each exercise. Beginners do 1 set of each exercise; Intermediates do 2-3 sets with a 1-2 minute rest between sets.
Remember, the workout is not complete without being equipped with all the information:
Do 1 set of as many abdominal crunches as you can at each resistance training workout. Lie on the ab bench and use your abs to slowly curl your head, shoulders & upper back off the bench. Hold for 1 second before slowly lowering your body.
